I'd love to say I'm on a roll and will keep up the momentum completing UFO's but I know I'm a great starter and not a good finisher. However, thanks to my husband taking over the TV last night, not to mention Evol's great quilting, I have managed to complete another quilt. What do you think?
Does it make you want to grab your own picnic basket, throw in some bread, cheese, wine - and of course the dream man, and head for the nearest romantic spot for a little dalliance?
Maybe that's a little strong - there are times I will admit that I'd love this scenario, other times, I'd be more than happy with just the company of a good book!
As always Evol's done a wonderful job with the quilting - I particularly like the pattern she's used in the sashing strips.
The pattern is from the book "On a Roll Again" from Heather Mulder Peterson of Anka's Treasures and this one's called Picketty Sticks.
We do have some copies in the shop now if you'd like one. I like the book. It's designed to be used with Jelly Rolls etc, but I've got so many fabrics in my stash that I've simply cut a 2 1/2" strip from each & used these. The instructions are well written, it's one of those quilts you can just relax and enjoy the process of construction. I think there's 8 different quilt projects in this book and I'm looking forward to trying a couple more of the patterns shortly (I did say earlier that I was a great starter)...
