Just a quick post so you can share our excitement. Peggy has now completed her Teacher Accreditation with Queensland Quilters! She's now waiting for her Certificate to arrive (might not be here until early in the New Year), but already she's planning new workshops for 2011.
For those who'd like more information Queensland Quilters runs a program of certification which recognises competency to teach basic patchwork and quilting skills. This is a rewarding though demanding program which, after satisfactory completion, certifies you as an Accredited Teacher of Basic Patchwork and Quilting. They focus on high standards of workmanship in Technical Skills, and assist you to develop a well planned and executed Mini Workshop and Beginner's Course. Be sure to contact them if you're interested - http://www.qldquilters.com.
On the shop front, some lovely new patterns have arrived in store and we've been busy making them into kits. I've yet to photgraph them, but we're really happy, they're very bright and cheerful (will probably end up making one or two myself - they look so good).
Anyway, I'm off for now, it's Thursday and we'll be sewing at the shop tonight. If you happen to be in or around Emerald you're most welcome to join us from 7:00pm.
Regards, Bev
Congratulations Peggy (again) - I don't know how you find the time!
