Wonderful news to share this post, Peggy's quilt - Happy Birthday to me #2 won third place in the Queensland Quilt Show - Category 15 Professional Textile Art. Well done Peggy, I speak for everyone who comes into the shop when I say we're very proud of your efforts and most appreciative of the inspiring work you do.
Of course Peggy had to go down to Brisbane to see it displayed and then to celebrate, and fortunately for me, I got to go along too. The Quilt Show was wonderful, I particularly liked the Best of Show - "Silk Purses, Crazy Bags" by Robyn Ginn and I'm sure we'll all be seeing it in upcoming magazines. Actually all the quilts were wonderful to see. As always I've come home full of anticipation and excitement with a couple of ideas for quilts of my own in mind but I need to behave. I must get to my sewing machine - after the BAS & bookwork gets done, some bills paid, a little gardening and maybe a bit of housework - woe is me it's just not fair when you can't always please yourself!!!
Cheers, Bev
CONGRATULATIONS Peggy. We always knew you could do it. Have you got much more stuff to do for your Teaching accredidation? Looking forward to a visit to the shop sometime over Christmas, just not sure when we be down. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, and love keeping uptodate with this blog.
Cheers, Deb.
