I did however get it 3/4's made - I changed the design slightly and decided to add sleeves and don't quite have enough white linen to do it, so once again have put it aside for another day. Peggy on the other hand has been busy making a new summer wardrobe for herself - which she says she won't model for us (I'll get her photo one of these days when she's not thinking about it). The patterns she used are from Boutique Chic by Serendipity Studio (we have them in the shop), and with Peggy's wonderful style and ability to co-ordinate fabrics and colours you can be assured that they look great. Incidentally Peggy did say that the patterns went together quite easily!
Last time I posted, I mentioned that my Mum was busy making up some Natalie Ross In Stitches patterns that we have in stock. From the pattern Winterberry Birds isn't this the cutest Sewing mat and Sewing Caddy! My sewing machine would most happily perch on the mat and the sewing caddy is just so sweet!
Fabrics used are from the range Pretty Bird and they've been very popular.
If you attended the Emerald Patchwork Group Exhibition a couple of weekends ago, you will have seen the following quilts on display at our stall. We now have them in the shop for a further two weeks on loan from the designer and stitcher, Linda Blake of Bella Embrodiery Designs.
I knew I wouldn't be able to get a photo to do them justice, so I've taken a couple of close-ups.
Both quilts are just beautiful. We currently have in the shop both the Individual Tracing Patterns for both quilts as well as sets of Pre-printed fabrics for the stitcheries. Linda also sent us a beautiful cream candlewicked quilt and some table runners, also with patterns available. Be sure to come in and have a look over the next week, they really are just delightful and inspiring!
So, how's that for show n tell? Peggy & I are off to Barcaldine tomorrow for a very exciting weekend of sewing, so we just might have more to share next week.
Till then have fun and keep those needles ready, Regards Bev.
