We're back - miss us? We've been away again (thank you Evol, we do appreciate the wonderful help you give us in looking after the shop for us whenever we go away). This time we were lucky to go to Brisbane to a Queensland Quilters workshop with the fabulous Gloria Loughman. Aptly titled "Light Up Your Landscape", we had fun. Gloria is an inspiring, generous tutor who manages to bring out the artist in all, challenging us to leave our comfort zones and have a go. Speaking for myself, it took me about a day & a half to feel comfortable with the project I was working on (I was way out of my comfort zone) and then there was no stopping me. Here's some photos at the end of the workshop - Mine is in the bottom left hand corner and Peggy's is in the upper centre of the photo below, along with the work of the other participants.
It's amazing & delightful to see so much variety in both colour & subject and I can only say that if ever I have the opportunity to attend another workshop with Gloria, I'll certainly be there. Here's a few photos of Gloria's work, they don't need words -
One other person to thank - Karen Mersiades, the Workshop Convenor for Queensland Quilters. You are wonderful. The workshop ran so smoothly and you were always available and ready to help. Both Peggy & I appreaciate all you did.
Till next time,
Bev
